Say “I’ll Do It!!”
Community Acupuncture is here!!
What do you get when you put a
group of natural health minded people together in the same area for
an acupuncture treatment? Answer: The generation of a lot of
healing QI and a fun, interactive and cost effective means to
helping acupuncture fit into your budget. Dr. Shipe recently
visited Yuyang hospital in Shanghai, China and during clinical
rotations in the acupuncture department, noted that many of the
acupuncture patients were treated together in the same room without
having to disrobe. They were seated on tables or chairs for their
treatment. Maybe he doesn’t see 160 patients in one day for
acupuncture like he observed in China but he brought the idea back
to provide an efficient, cost effective means of care to many people
on a tight budget or without medical insurance. The cost of these treatments is less than the usual and customary rate due to the increased efficiency and lowered expense involved in the care. Call the office today to schedule this fun and interactive way to continue your healing without a financial struggle.
Medical Insurance for Acupuncture
Will my insurance cover acupuncture? Many more insurance companies are providing coverage for oriental medicine and acupuncture care. Provide our office with your insurance information upon scheduling your initial examination and we will verify your insurance coverage for you to learn what kind of care is covered. Most medical insurance is accepted in our office upon approval. Here are a few questions we ask your insurance:
1. Will this plan cover acupuncture or any other therapy in our office?
2. How many visits per calendar year?
3. Does the patient need a referral?
4. Do they have a co-pay?
5. Do they have a deductible? If yes, has it been met?
Once Dr. Shipe has completed his initial examination, he will determine the extent and type of care you will need and discuss with you your prognosis and treatment options that may or may not include the multiple natural therapies available in our office. Our office will submit your insurance claim for any covered service or therapy to your provider for reimbursement.
